Adapting for Change -
Climate Change and the Historic Environment
A half-day conference and public meeting to be held on Tuesday 25 September 2007 at the Stirling Highland Hotel, Stirling.
The Historic Environment Advisory Council for Scotland warmly invites you to join them for a half-day conference exploring the likely effects of climate change on our historic environment and how conservation may need to adapt to meet this new challenge. The speakers will be:
- Linda Fabiani MSP, Minister for Europe, External Affairs & Culture
- Aubrey Manning, Emeritus Professor of Natural History & broadcaster
- Mike Corfield, Heritage Science & Conservation Consultant
- Sarah Morris, Head of Conservation & Maintenance, Historic Scotland
- Dr Tom Dawson, Director, Scottish Coastal Archaeology & the Problem of Erosion
- Dr Richard Tipping, Senior Lecturer, University of Stirling
- Raymond Young, Chair, Architecture & Design Scotland
with a discussion chaired by
- Rob Edwards, Environment Editor, Sunday Herald
The conference will be followed immediately by a public meeting when the Council will describe its work in progress and would welcome questions, views and comments.
