Meeting with the Minister

In August 2005, Council met with Patricia Ferguson, the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport. In a very productive meeting, a number of issues were discussed including:

• the Historic Environment audit;
• the Planning Bill and resource issues faced by planning authorities;
• and the Cultural Commission Report.

Topics for consideration by Council during its second term, and appointments to Council were also touched on.
